Marie-Michèle was first introduced to acupuncture as a patient following a prognostic of chronic asthma, a life sentence of health issues. Being nonresponsive to medication, she found herself in the emergency room several times a week for months and eventually being forced to give up sports, including Taekwondo, which was her passion. Abandoning her passion was not an option, so she decided to find another way.

Fast forward two years, 3 series of 6 acupuncture treatments later, her lungs were totally cleared and full pulmonary function was restored … Marie-Michèle was back kicking! As a bonus, the treatments also cleared her eczema and allergies.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Zoey, obtained her master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. Zoey is passionate about continuing her education and has taken several courses in concussion management, dry needling and manual therapy since her graduation. She is certified to perform cervical, thoracic, and lumbar manipulations along with manipulations of the extremities. Zoey had practised in Camrose for a few years previously at her clinic Prestige Physiotherapy which she sold in 2022 prior to moving to the Middle East with her husband, Dr. Ahmad so that he could pursue further training in his field. While in the Middle East, Zoey worked part-time as a Registered Physiotherapist at the Ministry of Health in Kuwait and got an exciting opportunity to teach as an instructor at Kuwait University at the Department of Physical Therapy. Growing up in the small Alberta town of Redwater, chiropractic care always played an influential role in Dr. Weeks’ health and wellbeing. Whether it was maintenance check-ups for sports or aiding in injury recovery, chiropractic care contributed greatly to Dr. Weeks’s very active youth.

in his youth, Dr. Weeks played hockey, volleyball, badminton, cross country and competed in track. Plus, he played community rolls such as, officiating hockey, 4-H Beef and volunteering with the local fire department. To maintain his high level of activity Dr. Weeks relied on the benefits of regular chiropractic care.

Through his community and athletic involvements, Dr. Weeks discovered that he also had a passion for the health and wellbeing of others. With the goal to turn this passion into a career, he decided to pursue a career in chiropractic so that he could give back to the profession that helped him so much on a personal level.
