Marie-Michèle was first introduced to acupuncture as a patient following a prognostic of chronic asthma, a life sentence of health issues. Being nonresponsive to medication, she found herself in the emergency room several times a week for months and eventually being forced to give up sports, including Taekwondo, which was her passion. Abandoning her passion was not an option, so she decided to find another way.
Fast forward two years, 3 series of 6 acupuncture treatments later, her lungs were totally cleared and full pulmonary function was restored … Marie-Michèle was back kicking! As a bonus, the treatments also cleared her eczema and allergies.
Inspired by her own health journey and witnessing the continued health deterioration of others who were living with the same prognosis , she decided to pursue a career in acupuncture to help people achieve their wellness goals and live life to the fullest.
Dr Benoit was awarded her diploma in Acupuncture in 1991 from College de Rosemont in Montreal, Quebec, and later in 2020 passed the board exam to practice in Alberta.
Using a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Dr Benoit is committed to providing not only adapted acupuncture treatments that activate the body’s self-healing capacities, but also empowering her clients with the opportunity to learn the language of their bodies.
